I’ve written here ad naseum about Cairo’s Souq Gomma - or Friday Market – so I won’t go into it again. But here’s something I never explored in detail about the market: the amount of gambling that goes down every Friday.

Recently, I hooked up with Global Post’s Egypt correspondent Theodore May to do a more in-depth piece on the Friday Market’s darker side. He wrote a great article and I produced a corresponding video to give readers some of the market’s color.
